The men were fixing a sewer line

released from the hospital last night.

Co-workers say Mike Schultz, from
Peterstown, West Virginia, was actually
buried alive- but survived.

months before it releases any findings.

K/J, I called DCI Shires out of
Bluefield about the trench box, but the
company did not want to comment.

KEITH QUESTION: Rachel, that raises the
question: at what point should a trench
have safety protections?

RACHEL ANSWER: Federal guidelines
state anything more than 5 feet deep
should be re-inforced in some way. This
trench was at least 12 feet deep.. and
as I said, the trench box was just feet

GRAPHIC=UVA This week we've been getting you

set for the start of college football
practice next week in the ACC, and
tonight we check in with the Cavs.

UVA is one of four ACC schools
that shuffled its coaching staff in the
offseason. Al Groh's son Mike as now

the Cavaliers' offensive coordinator.

The elder Groh is excited about
the possibilities this new position
present, but he also knows that there
is a fine line between being a "dad"
and a "boss".

They are all part of the Class
"B" Fastpitch Softball Championship
that began play on Monday and continues
through the end of the week.

An interesting ritual for the
first game of this tournament for each
team is that they exchange gifts with
their opponent. A team from Buffalo,
brought Buffalo Wings to exchange.

With over 3-thousand players all
needing a field to play on, this has
been a collabrative effort by the
entire Valley

This Morning There is also some local flavor :00 in the tournament this week.

One of the area teams the
Virginia Extreme Force White team
suffered its first loss in the double

The team which is made up of
players from Franklin County, Craig
County, Northside, and other schools in
the area lost to Yorktown.
