Thomasville vs. Mustangs Thomasville was in town as the

top two teams in the western division
met at Hooker field tonight. We pick up
the action in the bottom of the first

C.J. Lee lays down the bunt as
Thomasville's Cody Overbeck overthrows
first base and Adam Lipski scores from
third.

Later in the same inning, Brett
Thomas from Ferrum sends a sac fly to
left, scoring Steve Condetta, tying the
game at two.

The Mustangs finished up the
three-run inning when Jamie Ray grounds
out to short *CG final Thomasville , scoring Matt Leake.

Then in the Keys 9th, with a
runner at 2nd. Carlos Duran cranks a
shot to deep right field--but not deep
enough. *CG final Frederick Francisco Caraballo makes the catch at 1 the track preserving the 2-1 win. It's Salem the third save in 5 appearances for 2 Melendez.

With temperatures in the hundreds

this week, people chose not to hit the
pools, but instead the slopes.

Snowboarders gathered at the
(puh-NESS-keys) Pinewski's Ski Shop to
watch the top riders in the Midwest.

About 130 snowboarders competed
for cash...

So where did all the snow come
from?

Well...the ski shop spent three
days trucking in 25 loads of snow.

But it melted just about as fast
as they brought it -- and the event had
to be limited to just one day.
