taken to the hospital this morning
after becoming ill due to carbon

Bedford County Fire Dispatch
responded to the call at the plant just
after two-o clock.

According to officials, the
carbon dioxide was coming from a
machine in an area where they freeze
meat.

Assistant Fire Chief Russell
Stevens said that machine was shut
down.

No one had to be evacuated and
not other injuries were reported.

officer was on routine patrol around
one yesterday afternoon, when a citizen
flagged him down and said a man had
just gone over the bridge.

When Fire and Rescue crews
reached the man 160 feet below he was
still alive, and they took him to the
hospital with what they describe as
potentially life threatening injuries.

He later died.

Investigators have not

Tran's wife has told News 7 he is
innocent.

Back in 2001, Tran plead guilty
