of Lynchburg, where a deadly accident
has closed down a road at this hour.

Several rescue crews were called
to Browns Mill Road, southwest of
Rustburg in Campbell County. There is
one confirmed fatality, a sixteen year
old girl. We understand she was
passenger in the vehicle. There were
four other teens in the car. They've
all been taken to Lynchburg General
Hospital.

conspiracy to distribute heroin

2nd when Oops opened the latch to her
cage and let herself out.

That led to a massive search that
ended a week later when Opps was found
in a woman's backyard in Garden City.

Healthwise, the monkey was ok but
just in case needed to be quarantined
for thirty days.

She was reunited with her family
Friday morning.

for the Sheriff's Office: two marijuana

patches near Axton yielded more than
two thousand plants.

turned up more than 17- hundred plants
near Hairfield Lane, and more than 500
plants near Sandy River Road.

They averaged about five feet
high, and the department estimates
their value at more than two million

graffitti.

Police say graffitti also helps
gangs mark their territories and send

property owner to get rid of it

two serial killer cases that have been

terrorizing Phoenix area residents for
more than a year.

Two men are under arrest for one
of the serial sprees. Police say
forensic evidence clearly links the two
men to one of those murders - which

AT THAT POINT..JOSEPH RAN TO HER AID.

he grabbed my left arm and put my index
finger in his mouth and bit it off, he

would not let it go. When he let go I
saw my whole bone exposed, I wrapped it

in my shirt and I called an ambulance.
He had my finger in his mouth and i'm

telling him can I please have my finger
to give it to the doctors, he threw it

back in his mouth, he went in the car
and locked the doors.

THEN JOSEPH SAYS YONKERS POLICE ARRIVED
ON THE SCENE.

when cops came they said where is your
finger? I said he has my finger, they

saw him and said you're under arrest.
He had my finger in his mouth for 3

minutes, chewing on it, whatever he was
doing.

JOSEPH WENT TO THE HOSPITAL BUT DOCTORS
AT MONTEFIORE MEDICAL CENTER IN THE

BRONX COULDN'T RE-ATTACH HIS FINGER
BECAUSE IT WAS A HUMAN BITE.

i was born with 10 fingers, now i have
9 1/2 for doing what most people would

say was the right thing.

NOW JOSEPH HAS HIRED A LAWYER AND PLANS
TO FIGHT THIS OUT IN COURT.

i'm hoping that he knows what it's like
to visit a jail cell, he can't go

around biting people.

scene on Browns Mill Road southwest of
Rustburg.

One 16 year old girl is confirmed
dead -- she was a passenger -- at least
four other teens were injured. They
were all taken to Lyncburg general
hospital.

The road will be closed for a
while.

this afternoon a little shorthanded.

The Hokies knew coming in that
they would have to plug the holes in
the defensive backfield created by the
departure of Jimmy Williams and Justin
Hamilton to the NFL.

Roland Minor also is out for at least
six to eight weeks and most likely
longer.

The redshirt junior, who started
all but one game at cornerback last
season was involved in a car wreck
earlier this week in his hometown of
Washington, D.C.

Minor injured one of knees and
his wrist in the wreck and had surgery
this afternoon at Montgomery Regional
to repair the dislocated wrist.

Fortunately, he did damage his
knee bad enough to require surgery.

The Hokies found out today that
they will start the season ranked 16th
in the brand USA Today coaches' poll
