that's led to another rise in
graffitti.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL KIDS SOMETIMES THAT

property as it's called, is a badge of
honor, with entire websites dedicated
to their deeds.
The signs are universal: "UK"
stands for "Ugly Kids" ... "VP" is for

certainly doesn't rank very high as a
serious crime, but depending on who's
doing the spraying, police say it can
be a sign of a bigger problem in the
neighborhood.

Womack was found inside her home on
Meadowbrook Drive March 21st.
Authorities say she'd been dead at
least two days before they were
notified.
47-year-old Keister Womack stabbed
his wife more than 12 times in the
chest and throat.
He pleaded guilty this morning to
first degree murder, avoiding a jury
trial that was due to start next week.
Womack faces up to life in prison
when he's sentenced in September.

Sean Glennon begins practice as
the number one quarterback, but that
could change by the time the season
opener rolls around.
The Hokies were picked second in
the Coastal division of the ACC, but
are not getting a lot of love
nationwide.
Today's news USA Today poll has
the Hokies ranked 16th in the nation in
the preseason.

off a spot in the Division Two playoffs
where Lee Johnson's team fell to George
Wythe. Last year the Highlanders
opened the season by ripping off nine
straight wins before runing into a
couple of key injuries a eventual state
champion Giles.

threads made thier debut this week at
New York Giants training camp.

Hokie Bird from downtown Blacksburg.

This time someone walked away
with the entire fiber glass statue.
It's called "the bird you can
bank on" and someone apparently made an
early withdrawl late wednesday night.
It was perched in front of the
First National Bank on North Main
Street when it took the unexpected
hike.
There's a thousand dollar reward
being offered for its rescue.
