SOT we do have two suspects in

mesa last night.

INVESTIGATORS ALSO SEIZED WEAPONS FROM
THIS APARTMENT BUILDING IN THE

SURBURBS WHERE THE TWO MEN WERE TAKEN
INTO CUSTODY.

POLICE HAVE BEEN DESPERATELY SEARCHING
FOR THE PERSON OR PERSONS WHO

HAVE BEEN TERRORIZING THE DESERT CITY
FOR MONTHS NOW.. KILLING SIX

PEOPLE AND WOUNDING SEVENTEEN MORE.
THE SERIAL SHOOTER TARGETED VICTIMS

FROM A CAR, AND POLICE TOWED THIS
VEHICLE FROM THE SCENE.

RESIDENTS AT THE COMPLEX COULD NOT
BELIEVE THE SUSPECTS WERE LIVING

AMONG THEM.

think that if they were living

here that could have been anyone of us

SINCE MAY OF LAST YEAR.. THE SERIAL

IT'S LEFT RESIDENTS FEARFUL TO SAY THE
LEAST.

SOT

it is very close to home in that a
person was shot that I know, it has

been all up and down are neighborhood,
we cant go out at night we are

frightened

BUT THE HEATED STREETS OF PHOENIX ARE
STILL NOT SAFE.

SOT I think it is a day to celebrate

but also remember that we have one

more out there loose and weve got to
get him

AUTHORITIES ARE ALSO LOOKING FOR THE
BASELINE KILLER WHO THEY BELIEVE

in the last year HAS COMMITTED EIGHT
MURDERS AND a STRING OF SEXUAL

ASSAULTS.

BUT WITH TODAY'S BREAK IN THE SERIAL

TAKING COMFORT THAT THE STREETS OF
PHOENIX MAY BE A BIT SAFER.
