about -- the Lane Stadium expansion is
finally complete, and we're getting our
first look inside.

But, first some facts.

The 52 and a half million dollar
westside expansion began in March 2004.

The project was suppose to be
finished in time for the fall 2005
season -- but that didn't happen
because of construction delays.

It wasn't until June of this year
that Virginia Tech received a
certificate of occupancy.

Today, the university opened the
doors to the news media and Justin
McLeod was there.

teenage girl's death -- one police say

killed in a one-car accident last night
on Browns Mill Road near Rustburg.

off the road, struck a tree and
overturned. East was thrown from the
vehicle and pronounced dead at the
scene.

The investigating trooper says only the
driver was wearing a seat belt.

GRAPHIC=Fire Dozens of firefighters battled a

hay fire today in Bedford County.

Big Island area.

Firefighters say the fire started
in these bales of hay and threatened
two barns on a farm.

They were able to get the fire
under control before it spread.

No one was hurt.

de France winner Floyd Landis. He was
fired by his team after his backup drug
sample showed significant levels of
synthetic testosterone. Appeals are his
only hope now. The Tour director says
that Landis is no longer considered the
champion, but the decision to strip him
of the title lies with the
International Cycling Union. Landis
would become the first winner in the
103-year history of cycling's premier
race to lose his Tour crown over doping
allegations.

is in the mix at the Buick Open after
three rounds. Woods took dead aim
today. He had the lead thru thirteen
holes and held it. He currently sits
at 18-under par after a 6-under 66.
Woods leads by two headed to Sunday.
