Road near Rustburg, struck a tree, and
overturned.

They are not releasing her name
but say she was charged with reckless
driving and having more passengers than
state law allows for a 16-year-old
driver.

In most cases, only one passenger
is permitted, and there were four in
the vehicle.

One of those passengers was
16-year-old Emily East of Evington.

She was thrown from the vehicle
and pronounced dead at the scene.

form of a text message.

Experts say new technology has
made it easier for spammers to target
cell phone users.

Unlike email, the recipient often
times gets stuck footing the bill,
that's because many cell phone plans
charge users for every text message
they receive.

Since some people get cell phones
for safety, some are concerned incoming
spam could interfere with outgoing
emergency calls.

A committee made up of lawmakers
and technology insiders is working to
come up with ways to curb the problem.

Mark Scott and his family had
just returned from their two-day
vacation last month, when they noticed
a strong odor in and around their home.

The odor turned out to be nearly
400-gallons of heating oil that was
SUPPOSED to have been delivered to the
house across the street.

And because the family's tank
hadn't been used in years, the oil
began to leak.

An air quality test near the home
came back normal.

The company, APB Whiting declined
an on-camera interview, but says it's
working with the DEQ and an
