terror plot to blow up planes headed
from London to the United States.
Authorities say the conspirators

the suspects... one was reportedly a
heavily pregnant woman- another an
airport employee... and yet another
still at large..

WITH A TOTAL OF 24 SUSPECTS ARRESTED SO
FAR. The bank of England has also
frozen the assets of 19 of the 24
individuals. A BRITISH NEWS CHANNEL
REPORTS ONE OF THE SUSPECTS WAS A
HEATHROW AIRPORT EMPLOYEE WITH AN
ALL-AREAS PASS. U-S GOVERNMENT
OFFICIALS SAY A BRITISH UNDERCOVER
OPERATIVE INFILTRATED THE CELL...
LEARNING IT WAS WITHIN A COUPLE OF
WEEKS OF ATTACK. This was a case that
would have involved a loss of an
enormous amount of life had the plot
been successful. A SENIOR CONGRESSIONAL
SOURCE SAYS THE PLAN, BRING ABOARD THE
BRITISH VERSION OF GATORADE... MIX IT
WITH AN EXPLOSIVE SUBSTANCE ON BOARD.
THE TRIGGER... A COMMONLY USED
ELECTRONIC DEVICE LIKE A CELL PHONE...
MULTIPLE PLANES DETONATING VIRTUALLY
SIMULTANEOUSLY, IN MID-FLIGHT. We're
going to look to adapt our screening
procedures to address the threat, but
to reduce over time as much
inconvenience as we possibly can while
remaining effective. ----NATS---- THE
LATEST DEFENSE... NO BOTTLES... NO
LIQUIDS ON PLANES IN CARRY-ON LUGGAGE..
No liquids allowed, even yogurts folks.
No yogurt today. SOME STATES BEEFED UP
SECURITY BY POSITIONING NATIONAL GUARD
TROOPS AT VARIOUS AIRPORTS ACROSS THE
COUNTRY. THERE ARE STILL SOME HICCUPS
HERE ON DAY TWO AT DULLES INTERNATIONAL
AIRPORT. PASSENGERS WERE HERE EARLY,
BUT THE TSA WAS NOT CAUSING A BACKUP IN

The Army Corps of Engineers is now
prohibiting kite tubing not only in
Philpott Lake, but also along many
other waterways it manages in Virginia,
West Virginia and Ohio.
The move comes in response to dozens of
reported accidents around the country
involving the sport -- some even
resulting in death.
