rock.

Two women were robbed at gunpoint
early this morning in the downtown
area.

He got away on foot with a wallet
and a purse.

Police say the man is five-

aim at gangs in the Shenandoah Valley.

Today, the state attorney
general's office announced a new
anti-gang initiative for the Valley,
including Rockbridge County and
Lexington.

A new full-time gang prosecutor
will soon be on board, in hopes of
unifying law-enforcement efforts across
the area.

The attorney general's
office says there are more than 300
documented gang members or affiliates
in the Shenandoah Valley.

program.

It's a fundraiser that's also

a new credit and debit card payment
system known as "Chip and Pin."

It's the latest technology to
prevent credit card fraud -- using a
microchip in the card and a personal
identification number to complete the
transaction.

the old magnetic stripe cards issued in
the U-S.
