years ago today in Henry County, with a
missing little girl and two murdered
parents.

August 2002 The crime was grisly....Michael and
Mary Short were found shot to death in
their Oak Level home.

Their 9-year-old daughter Jennifer
was missing, believed to be kidnapped.

Her remains were later found near a
bridge in Rockingham County, North
Carolina.

Today, investigators admit they're
getting very few leads but they refuse
to call this a cold case.

weekend.

bird in front of National Bank.

It was worth about 500 dollars.

And somebody tried to get away
with the newest gobbler along Prices
Fork Road.

Police say that caused some
damage to the toes and legs.

It's being repaired.

The five feet tall fiber glass
statues are part of the Gobble de Art
program.

A total of five statues have been
either stolen or damaged.

robbed two women at gunpoint in
downtown Blacksburg.

"GREAT" stands for Gang Resistance
Education And Training.

About 80 kids are spending the
week learning about gangs, avoiding
violence, and what it takes to be a
police officer.

Yesterday, campers studied
fingerprint technology and got a
close-up look at different patrol cars
and their equipment.

Later this week, they'll get to
investigate a mock crime scene and
collect evidence.

gangs in the Shenandoah Valley.

The state attorney general's

office yesterday unveiled a new
anti-gang initiative for the Valley,
including Rockbridge County and

A new full-time gang prosecutor

unifying law-enforcement efforts across
