where they say a body was found.
Sergeant Ben Cook from the Vinton
Police Department confirms a male body
was found under a tree at the Oakey's
Funeral Home in Vinton.
Cook said police had just arrived
at the Hardy Road location and were
continuing to investigate.

State Police say 19-year-old Kasey Lee
Brown of Martinsville was headed south
on 220, when her car ran off the road
-- struck a culvert -- and went through
the air before hitting a utility pole.
Brown's passenger, 16-year-old Ashley
Lynn Pickard of Ridgeway was wearing a
seatbelt, but pronounced dead at the
scene.
They say Brown, herself was NOT wearing
a seatbelt and was pronounced dead
later at the hospital.

six officers this week.

Jonathan Lee Graham of Wytheville
showed up at the Galilee Church Monday
night ranting and screaming that
someone was trying to kill him.
Chief Deputy Keith Dunagan lives
across the street. He was off duty,
but called for help.
When deputies tried to arrest
Graham, they say he got violent.
Graham is now facing numerous
charges including malicious wounding.

The temperature today hit 81 in
Blacksburg and could be just as hot on
opening day.

in the same boat as everyone else, So
for 3 days this week the Hokies
Training Staff has brought in a
representative from Nike to test out a
new cooling system for the players.

The technology has been around
since 1999 and has undergone many
improvements to where it is today.

and from personal experience I
can tell you that it definitely works.
The Tech Players have taken to the cool
temperatures as well.

So the chances of the Hokies
using the system this year?

and on the road. With installation
taking only couple of hours and it can
