With the cease-fire in tact.. Israeli
tanks and troops continued to pull

out of southern Lebanon.

Theyre NOT flooding back across the
border.. just slowly making way for

Lebanese soldiers and an international
peacekeeping force.

(Sean McCormack, State Department
Spokesman)

2:53:55 You don't have five guys in a
jeep on the international force

side deploying and then you have a, you

know, a battalion of Israeli

forces withdrawing. That's not how it
works. There has to be a rough

balance

While the Lebanese army is expected to
start moving 15-thousand troops

south tomorrow.. the U-N is still
building its force.. with meetings in

New York and Beirut today to iron out
more details.

(NAT-)

Some Lebanese soldiers were busy last
night helping bury victims of the

fighting in the southern city of Tyre.

As tens of thousands of refugees return
home.. many are finding their

villages flattened and the bodies of
their neighbors in the rubble.

(NAT-)

Hezbollah is putting itself at the
forefront of the clean-up effort..

promising aid to displaced Lebanese who
are already signing up.

The cease-fire has also allowed

Israelis to return to their homes in
the

north.. these residents were headed
back to Kiryat Shmona.. battered by

more than a thousand Hezbollah rockets
during the month of fighting.

CLOSE: The reverend Jesse Jackson has
launched an effort to win the

release of the two Israeli soldier
whos capture sparked this conflict..

by trying to broker a prisoner exchange
between Israel and Hezbollah.

File Tape For the first time in 110 years,
the Richmond museum will be closed
every Wednesday from Labor Day to
Memorial Day.

The White House of the
Confederacy will also be closed for two
months at a time starting in January.

To offset money woes, the museum
requested 700- thousand dollars from
the state, but only got 50- thousand in
the new budget cycle.

The board- of- directors has
entertained the idea of moving the
museum to a less congested part of
Richmond.

Some believe an expanding
