Ford To match supply with demand, Ford is
slashing its North American production
by 21 percent. That's the biggest cut
since the early 80s...

Ford says because of the soaring fuel
prices, customers are staying away from
its trucks and SUVS.

In fact, so far, sales are down ten
percent, hitting the automaker with a
1.5 billion dollar loss. Some believe
unstable management and a lack of
inspiring models have contributed to
that loss.

Ford will partially shut down eight
plants in the U.S. and one in Canada
for the rest of the year.
