inside Montgomery Regional Hospital.

surrounded Montgomery Regional
Hospital early Sunday morning as the
Blacksburg Police department began
their search for this man.

24-year-old William Charles
Morva.

Morva was an inmate being
escorted by a Montgomery County Deputy
to the hospital's emergency room for
treatment of a sprained wrist and leg.

Around 2:30, Morva overpowerd the
deputy.

OQ= Morva allegedly shot the deputy

and a hospital security guard who tried
to help.

Investigators say Morva shed his
orange jumpsuit and took off on foot,
believed to be armed with the deputy's
service pistol.

State Police helicopters, police
dogs, and officers from around the
region immediately began their man
hunt.

At one point officers say this
car driven by one of Morva's relatives
was stopped at a nearby gas station,
but no sign of Morva.

Ramsey stepped off the plane at LAX
after a 15 hour flight from Bangkok.



John Mark Karr returned to the U-S
voluntary.. and was not wearing
handcuffs in his business class seat.



Passengers and reporters on board saw
the former school teacher.. sipping
Champagne.. dining on king prawns and
roast duck.. and making small talk with

an investigator from the Boulder
Country District Attorney s office.

very relaxed

A helicopter pulled Karr away from the
airport dropping him at L-A s high
security twin towers jail.



The Los Angeles County sheriff s
department expedited the 41-year-old s
booking to get him to his cell as
quickly as possible.



BRIDGE: A hearing is expected to take
place in LA in the next few days.. if
Karr agrees to waive extradition he ll
be here in Boulder sooner rather than
later to face charges of murder,
kidnapping and child sexual assault.



Aside from Karr s admission after his
arrest last week in Thailand.. little
evidence has been made public linking
him to the 1996 murder of the
six-year-old beauty queen. Mike

Sandrock met him in Paris four years
ago where Karr brought up JonBenet s
murder.

Some legal observers say his royal

The scheduled renovation work was
completed over the weekend, but V-E-S
and city leaders have decided to do

number of calls and emails. Many of
them took issue with law enforcement's
charge that the dogs were being bred to
fight.

"These dogs are great dogs. They are
not aggressive and they are certainly
not trained fighting dogs," Michelle
Montgomery told us. "I have known the
Burlarleys for years now. We even have

one of their dogs that we got 5 years
ago. They treat these dogs like they
are their children."



The growing price tag of a new William
Fleming High School get Becky Johnson's
attention this week:

"I can't wait to see the next
"surprise" that is sprung on those of
us living in the Fleming attendance
area...," she wrote, "probably the
stadium or even lack of one for even
longer than originally proposed."



And a piece of video included in a
story about a shooting in Henry County
brought this response from Sherri
Yeatts in Gretna:

"Your coverage of the shooting death of
Mr. Perdue in Henry County could have
been much improved had you left the
cameras off Mr. Perdue's grieving
family. No one, including myself, could
imagine the pain of losing a loved one
in this manner. Add sensationalism to
the mix, and no good purpose is ever
served. "

killed a security guard inside
Montgomery Regional Hospital.

Hospital early Sunday morning as the
Blacksburg Police department began
their search for this man.

24-year-old William Charles
Morva.

Morva was an inmate being
escorted by a Montgomery County Deputy
to the hospital's emergency room for
treatment of a sprained wrist and leg.

Around 2:30, Morva overpowerd the
deputy.

Investigators say Morva shed his
orange jumpsuit and took off on foot,
believed to be armed with the deputy's
service pistol.

State Police helicopters, police

At one point officers say this
car driven by one of Morva's relatives
was stopped at a nearby gas station,
but no sign of Morva.

Ramsey stepped off the plane at LAX
after a 15 hour flight from Bangkok.



John Mark Karr returned to the U-S
voluntary.. and was not wearing
handcuffs in his business class seat.



Passengers and reporters on board saw

the former school teacher.. sipping
Champagne.. dining on king prawns and
roast duck.. and making small talk with
an investigator from the Boulder
Country District Attorney s office.

very relaxed

A helicopter pulled Karr away from the
airport dropping him at L-A s high
security twin towers jail.



The Los Angeles County sheriff s
department expedited the 41-year-old s
booking to get him to his cell as
quickly as possible.



BRIDGE: A hearing is expected to take
place in LA in the next few days.. if
Karr agrees to waive extradition he ll
be here in Boulder sooner rather than
later to face charges of murder,
kidnapping and child sexual assault.



Aside from Karr s admission after his
arrest last week in Thailand.. little

evidence has been made public linking
him to the 1996 murder of the
six-year-old beauty queen. Mike
Sandrock met him in Paris four years
ago where Karr brought up JonBenet s
murder.

One of his co-workers apparently
videoed this with a cellphone.. and it
ended up online. This is how it

And it was shot at the firestation in
Manchester, England where they work.
The firefighter inside went for a few
spins, before getting out and feeling
dizzy.

He's all right, but the four who were
in on the joke have been suspended,
pending an internal investigation.

number of calls and emails. Many of
them took issue with law enforcement's
charge that the dogs were being bred to
fight.

"These dogs are great dogs. They are
not aggressive and they are certainly
not trained fighting dogs," Michelle
Montgomery told us. "I have known the
Burlarleys for years now. We even have
one of their dogs that we got 5 years
ago. They treat these dogs like they
are their children."



The growing price tag of a new William
Fleming High School get Becky Johnson's
attention this week:

"I can't wait to see the next

"surprise" that is sprung on those of
us living in the Fleming attendance
area...," she wrote, "probably the
stadium or even lack of one for even
longer than originally proposed."



And a piece of video included in a
story about a shooting in Henry County
brought this response from Sherri
Yeatts in Gretna:

"Your coverage of the shooting death of
Mr. Perdue in Henry County could have
been much improved had you left the
cameras off Mr. Perdue's grieving
family. No one, including myself, could
imagine the pain of losing a loved one
in this manner. Add sensationalism to
the mix, and no good purpose is ever
served. "

Blacksburg Police department began
their search for this man.

24-year-old William Charles
Morva.

Morva was an inmate being
escorted by a Montgomery County Deputy
to the hospital's emergency room for
treatment of a sprained wrist and leg.

Around 2:30, Morva overpowerd the
deputy.

Investigators say Morva shed his
orange jumpsuit and took off on foot,
believed to be armed with the deputy's
service pistol.

State Police helicopters, police

hunt.

At one point officers say this
car driven by one of Morva's relatives
was stopped at a nearby gas station,
but no sign of Morva.

killed a security guard yesterday
inside Montgomery Regional Hospital.

Danville police are looking for the
person or persons who shot two men over
the weekend.

One of the victims called police from a
car wash on Arnette Boulevard.

Police also found a second man who was
shot in the leg several blocks away on
Melville Avenue.
