getting pelted with rain.. and things
could get a whole lot worse if Ernesto
returns to hurricane strength.

only a remote possibility the tropical
storm could become a hurricane before
reaching South Florida overnight.
Still, it promises to dump
between five and fifteen inches of rain
-- so residents aren't taking any
chances.
In flood prone areas, they filled
sand-bags, gas tanks, and shopping
carts.
Ernesto forced NASA to scrub
today's scheduled launch of space
shuttle Atlantis.
The shuttle was moving back
towards its hangar for protection but
officials have since sent it back to
the launching pad when Ernesto
weakened.

man who started molesting her when she
was seven.

lived with her Mother and her Mother's
fianc�, Harold Deaton, Junior.

local cable system.

to appeal a judge's decision barring
the city from acquiring Adelphia
Cable's assets.
Last week, a federal judge
ruled the city can't compete with
Comcast to take over the cable system.
He said Martinsville Cable
is not equipped to run a cable system
and lacks legal authority to own or
operate one.

wanted fugitives..tonight...he is
behind bars.

VO-NAT A state trooper in Nevada pulled
50-year-old Warren Jeffs over for a
routine traffic stop along I-15 near
Las Vegas...and thanks to an amber
alert, the trooper recognized Jeffs and
called in the FBI.
Jeffs is wanted on a mulitiude of
charges in both Arizona and Utah,
including rape and arranging the
marriages of underage girls.
It's believed Jeffs considers
himself a prophet and has at least 70
wives and 100 children.
Earlier this year, the FBI found two
tons of high powered explosives near
one of Jeff's compounds, prompting
authorities to fear another Waco type
incident.

Tech and U-V-A have a past history is
on the docket for the Cavaliers Opening
Game this Saturday. That would be
Pittsburgh who Tech faced in the Big
East and who the Cavaliers last played
in the 2-thousand and 3 Tire Bowl in
Charlotte with the Wahoos coming out
with a win.
Now Not many of the Cavaliers
that are going to see playing time in
the opener were on the field for that
game.
