Morva escape from jail.
Sunday morning, August 20th,
Michael was charged with possession of
marijuana and conspiracy to help an
inmate escape.
According to the arrest warrant,
though, the conspiracy charge was for
an offense that happened in January.
He's being held without bond.

and an almost identical amount he stole
from Kathy Jones, another social

Grayson, the former Roanoke physician
who now lives near Hattiesburg.
he says many of his patients are
gulf coast transplants who lost
everything, and still can't decide what
comes next.

at a Pittsylvania County community
center this afternoon.

It happened around 2:45 at the
Blairs Community Center.
A school resource officer
reported a fight inside the gym. He
found a 14-year-old with a puncture
wound in the right armpit. The victim
is a student at Hope Haven School,
which is part of the community center.
The officer took a 15-year-old
suspect into custody. That teenager
was attending a Job Readiness Training
Program, also housed in the building.
Identities of the two teenagers
are being withheld by the sheriff's
department.

Smart Road now has a second building
right next to the old one.
Today the new 22- hundred square
foot facility was dedicated as the
National Surface Transportation Safety
Center for Excellence.
The Institute conducts research
on transportation safety using a
two-mile long road.
About 200 people work at the
facility, which generates about
12-million dollars in research money
every year.

show that J.J. will plead guilty to
Drunk Driving Charges and unlawful use
of highways.
Redick was arrested back on June
13th after making an illegal U-Turn at
a sobriety check point.
Redick is scheduled to be back in
court on October 24th, but the guilty
plea most likely means his attorney
will enter the plea. That same night
Redick and the Orlando Magic play Miami
in a N-B-A Pre-season game.
