Officials found 38-year-old Jimmy
Belcher at his family's home in Patrick
Springs at around 1:30 this morning.

He was arrested without incident
on one count of rape.

The sheriff says there will be
more charges as the investigation
continues.

Deputies searched for Belcher
throughout the night.

The sheriff says the woman he's
charged with raping is back home with
her family.

The initial investigation suggests the
pilots were trying to take off from the
wrong runway. That brought this
comment from Jeff Pauley:

A commercial flight is under the
direction of air traffic control from
the airport's tower and pilots can do
little without their
permission/direction in the air or on
the ground. Didn't the ATC staff see
that the plane was turning onto the
wrong runway?

We now know the lone controller on duty
that morning had looked away to attend
to some paperwork, once he cleared the
plane for take-off.

Steve Smallshaw's stories about local
National Guard soldiers training for
active duty in Kosovo brought a note of
appreciation from one mother:

Thank you so much for reporting on our
soldiers deployed to Kosovo and

currently in training in Indiana. My
son Sgt. James Gerlinger, age 22, has
been proud to belong to the 116th
Infantry for the last five years. This
is his second overseas deployment, the
first having been Guantanamo Bay
several years ago. It means more to me
than you will know, to have our
"hometown" station keep us in touch
with our "hometown" boys.

HINES-burger and 60-year-old Gregory
Harrington had finished installing an
antenna on this radio tower last March
when the cable they were being lowered
with broke.

Both men fell about 30 feet.

The fall killed Harrington.

Investigators found the wire
ropes the two men used as a life- line
did not meet required standards.

The men were also attached to the
same line, and should have each had
their own.

No citations were issued though
because Harrington was the sole owner
of the company.

good harvest this year.

Thanks to the dry weather this
summer, growers were anticipating a
sweeter, more robust flavored grape.

But heavy rains could change
that.

Too much moisture can cause the
grapes to swell and rupture.

According to the U-S Department
of Agriculture, Virginia grape

growers gathered 56-hundred tons of
commercial grapes in 2005.

That's up more than 50- percent
