and wife turned deadly this morning in
Franklin County.

Sheriff Quint Overton says it
happened this morning on Muddy Fork
Road in the Snow Creek area.
He said deputies are still
gathering facts and evidence, but it
appears the wife shot and killed her
husband.
She also wounded her daughter, who's
been taken to Roanoke Memorial
Hospital.

Crews have launched six boats
into parts of the Dan River in Stokes
County, just across the state line.
Police say three-year-old Jacob
White and four-year-old Jeffrey
wandered away from their grandparents'
home near Danbury on Tuesday.
Several police dogs have tracked
the boys' scent to the river, which has
risen due to heavy rainfall.
About 200 people helped scour the
rocky and hilly terrain late Wednesday.

The manhunt in Phoenix for the
so-called Baseline Killer has netted a
suspect. A yet to be identified
42-year-old male has been charged with
sexual assault and kidnapping in
connection with an attack last year.
Sgt. Andy Hill/Phoenix Police Dept.
"We do have definitive forensic
evidence to tie this suspect to that
particular case which is one of the 23
incidents we have been
investigating in the Baseline Killer
Case."
The attacks began on Baseline Road in
August of 2005 and spiraled into a
series of crimes....including 8 murders
and 11 sexual assaults of women
and young girls.

"We still consider all those other
cases open at this point. The
investigation is continuing and we have
a lot of work ahead of us."
Police say they haven't connected the
forensic evidence gathered from
their suspect to evidence collected in
11 of the other attacks. And
while police haven't released the name
of the man arrested, his
neighbors describe him as clean-cut and
polite.

After trying for seven years, the zoo
successfully artificially inseminated
Lun Lun at the end of March.
The cub is Zoo Atlanta's first panda

The rookie hurler walked four

He got nice support from his

The 22 year old was pitching back
