This morning they will be using robot
cameras to take a detailed look at the
shuttle's nose-cap and wing edges. NASA
was concerned there was damage
yesterday during take-off.

Atlantis is schedule to arrive at the
international space station tomorrow to
restart construction on the orbiting
space lab.

College voted yesterday to start

admitting men by the fall of 2007.

Hundreds of students and alumnae
(almnee) packed the area around Smith
Hall to voice their displeasure.

officials expect 30 to 35 men on campus
by next fall.

Students plan to meet tonight to
talk about the next step.

Various forms of protest are
expected around campus on Monday.

A new tool in hurricane
observation is ready to take to the
skies.

ENG=1 VO NAT

VO NAT Five Aerosonde aircraft, each
weighing 33-pounds and 5-feet long with
a 10-foot wing span, are scheduled to
deploy through Sept. 30 at Florida's
U.S. Naval Air Station Key West.

The aircraft, which will measure
a storm's atmospheric boundary layer,
fly as low as 500 feet and up to 2,000
feet above the ocean's surface.

The environment where the
atmosphere meets the sea is critical in
hurricanes, as the ocean's warm-water
energy is transferred directly to the
atmosphere above it.

An aircraft would be launched
atop an automobile, traveling at 55
mph. On the Florida mainland, the
National Hurricane Center in Miami
would monitor real-time data.

Two mounted Global Position

Systems provide measurements of wind
speed, temperature, air pressure and
humidity every half-second.

discovered today in the Siberian gold
mine were a fire erupted last week.

This comes just one day after eight
other miners were found alive after
being trapped hundreds of feet
underground.

Officials believe negligence during
welding work may have sparked the blaze
at the mine on Thursday.

identify the six bodies fished out of
the Tigris River today.

The bodies were taken to a
hospital morgue. A spokesman for the
morgue say all of the bodies showed
signs of tortue. They also were all
blindfolded and had their hands and
feet tied.

Meanwhile in Baghdad, a roadside bomb
kills at least five people and injuries

17 others. The attack happened near a
mobile phone shop. Officials say the
bomb was hidden inside a plastic bag.

part of research team looking at the
mental health of Hurricane Katrina
survivors.

The study by the Harvard Medical has
uncovered some surprising yet hopeful
