GRAPHIC=Shooting A woman is hospitalized after being
shot last night in Lynchburg.

It happened in the 12-hundred block
of 11th Street a little after ten p-m.
Neighbors reported hearing anywhere
from six to ten gunshots.
Officers responded to find the
woman, 20-year-old Dashonna Latrice
Farmer, lying in a grassy area just off
the road and suffering from an apparent
gunshot wound to the face.
She was later airlifted to the
U-V-A Medical Center where she is
listed as being in stable condition.

interim leader.

tents and unrolled sleeping bags on the
front lawn of the school's interim
president, Virginia Worden.
The plan was to spend several hours
there before returning to campus.
They say they're just trying to get
the administration's attention.

Pigs Barbecue in Daleville.
Most people recognized the president
immediately because of all the men in
suits who were standing next to him.

audit to determine if a Roanoke
consulting firm received preferential
treatment when it was awarded contracts
worth more than a million dollars.

returned indictments against two people
allegedly involved with a murder
earlier this summer.

Kelly Lance on the night 39 year-old
Ken Henry was shot and killed.

:07 apartment along Davis Street.
According to search warrants, she
originally confessed to the murder but
later told police her boyfriend, James
Jones shot Henry to rob him of money
and drugs.
Jones was indicted yesterday on
capitol murder charges.
Lance was indicted as an
accessory with Jones -- she too is
charged with murder.

man who's wanted for breaking into
dozens of homes has been laying low.

accused of crimes in Wythe, Smyth,
Grayson and Carroll Counties.

Wilson says it's been nearly six weeks
since the last incident they suspected
Goad.
Investigators say he lives in the
woods with his 16 year-old girlfriend,

close, he is still on the run.

could be headed to Roanoke County.

Supervisors gave the green light to
enter the county into an agreement with
English Construction Company... to work
on a proposal for a 190 acre business
park along Wood Haven Road just near
the intersections of I-581 and 81....
Business leaders believe the
location, along with the views makes
the property highly attractive and
would also like to see a community
recreation center as the anchor of the
business park....
English will visit the board
again in a few months to provide more
detailed reports from architects and
engineers.

being built off of Thompson Memorial
Drive in Roanoke County.
The site will reportedly house
the nearly 20-thousand square foot
facility.
The Traffic Center will overlook
the busiest section of Interstate 81-
it's estimated 70-thousand vehicles go
through this area a day.
The center is expected to be
completed in the fall of 2007.
