carbon monoxide leak at a Roanoke
College fraternity house.

Saturday Fire officials tied the leak to a :00 clogged flue pipe in the boiler system.

The students returned to the
house last night.

Seven students were inside the
Sigma Chi House on campus around one
o'clock Saturday morning, when at least
one alarm went off.

All got out safely without
injury.

*CG locator Salem That wasn't the case in July, when a July carbon monoxide leak in a dorm killed :19 one man, and sent several others to the
hospital.

Shortly after that incident, the
college installed carbon monoxide
detectors in all of its buildings.

far in Montgomery County last night.

Investigators say 23 year-old
David Park of Roanoke went into
Italiano's Restaurant just after 10
along Radford Road with a handgun and
demanded money.

He's also accused of firing the
gun.

No one was injured.

Shortly after, Park's car was
spotted and he was arrested.

He faces a list of felony charges
including attempted armed robbery and
attempted capital murder.

He's being held in jail without
bond.

warmest Virginia has seen in more than
100- years.

Interest Research Group studied weather
stations in all 50- states.

In Roanoke, from January- to-
July of this year, they found the
average temperature was two- point- six
degrees above normal.

In Lynchburg, the average

temperature was nearly two- degrees
above normal.... normal temperatures
are calculated by looking at numbers
from 1971 to 2000.

Reverend Pat Watkins studies
environmental science and works with
the Virginia Interfaith Center.

He says global warming is gaining
concern in faith communities.

prevent pancreatic cancer.

health surveys of more than
122-thousand men and women. They found
that those who consumed 400
International Units of Vitamin D daily
reduced the risk of pancreatic cancer
by 43 percent.

Dr. John Rogers says the study is
