parks.

football stadium are continuing to
spark discussion in Blacksburg.

commission took another look at a
proposal to build a new stadium off
Prices Fork Road.

People living near there have
voiced concerns of increased traffic
and noise in the past.

The planning commission denied
the plan once, but the town council
sent it back.

The commission will take public
comment and vote on October third.

Blacksburg town council could
take a vote as soon as October 10-th.

President Bush and observe the Geneva
Conventions.

A virtually equal number, 40

stealing from an agency she used to
run, has a criminal record.
TAKE PALMER FS ON APRISA TAKE MUGSHOT

53 year old Deborah Hughes Palmer
is accused of embezzling nearly
25-thousand dollars from the New River

Agency on Aging in Pulaski.

But this isn't the first time
Palmer's been accused of stealing.

VO NAT In 2003 she was convicted of
felony grand larceny in Henrico
(hen-rye-co) County for shoplifting.

A judge gave her a year in
prison, but suspended the entire
sentence.

A year later she was found guilty
of misdemeanor petit (petty) larceny in
Roanoke City.

According to court records she
spent 4-days in jail for shoplifting at
the Valley View Walmart.

confirms Wal Mart would like to locate
in a 40 acre location along Route 220
in the Clearbrook neighborhood.

Wal-Mart says it wants to better
serve its customers...

Since the new location would be
a supercenter, the understanding by the
County is the Walmart at the Hunting
Hills Plaza would close.

A Wal-Mart spokesperson says we
might be hearing more in a few weeks.
