This, amid a messy lawsuit over
what will happen to the assets of the

January of 2005.....Among those assets?
half of the fire department's building.

In the past the department has
received a six thousand dollar grant
from the town, thanks to state funding,
for things like training, equipment of
public education...

This year, the town hasn't
decided whether the Fire Department
will receive the full amount....That's
because according to the town manager,
there are concerns among council the

money will instead be used for legal
fees in the lawsuit. So Town Council is
thinking about splitting the money up
among various fire departments...and
that may or may not include Boones
Mill.

The Fire Department wants to know
more, hence the subpoena to look at
records related to the money

ESPN Jameel Sewell was less than :00 spectacular in his starting debut under
center, struggling to complete even the
shortest passes.

The UVA defense held its own,
but was on the field a lot. The

Ramblin Wreck got this touchdown from
quarterback Reggie Ball on the 6 yard
keeper to get on the board midway thru
the opening quarter.

Calvin Johnson then went nuts,
hauling in a long bomb for a score late
in the half, and adding this one in the
third quarter. Right now, the Jackets
lead UVA 24-nothing in the third.
