increased the terrorist threat. The
National Intelligence Estimate
completed in April finds that the u-s
presence in Iraq is providing new
recruits for militant Islam and that
the movement has spread and is now

February 2005 Last year, we told you how Craig
County residents are trying to
refurbish Camp Mitchell.
On Saturday, the board held a
kick-off to help raise funds for the
project.
The camp used to be a hot spot
for families and kids to go swimming
and camping, but throughout the years
the facilities have fallen on
hardtimes.
The redevelopment plan calls for
an olympic size indoor swimming pool,
new cabins and a lodge facility- just
for starters.
The group hopes to break ground
on the multi-million dollar project
next spring.
