about a former Blacksburg teacher,
accused of molesting a 12 year old
girl.

school for 35 years. The native of
Oxford, England was also a Sunday
school teacher, a manager of a local

molesting the Ohio girl, and many other
children in Virginia.

to murdering two women.

19 year old Jeremy Carter entered the
plea this afternoon in Roanoke Circuit
Court.
He'd been charged with two counts
each of murder and attempted robbery.
Prosecutors say Carter had a hand in
the murders of Deborah Pearl Vaughn and
Brenda Marie Wright in an apartment at
Tinker Creek Manor Apartments last
February.
The Commonwealth's Attorney has
promised to ask for a sentence of no
more than 33 years in exchange for
Carter's testimony against the two
other defendants in the case.

Yesterday That's the position Hollins University
Dean Patty O'Toole finds herself in:
under indictment in OHIO... where it IS
a crime.
As we first reported yesterday, O'Toole
allegedly failed to report three
felonies confided to her while she was
Dean of Student Affairs at Notre Dame
College last year.
Hollins says it stands by her, pointing
out: O'Toole told her boss about the
incidents.
Even the Hollins Student Handbook says:
"If a student reports an alleged sexual
assault to a university employee, other
than the chaplain and counselors...,
the employee is required to report the
incident to Campus Safety."

preparing to announce service to its
tenth city.
It appears Allegiant Air will be
adding non-stop flights from western
Virginia to the Tampa-Bay area.

conference tomorrow morning. Officials
say one of Roanoke's current airlines
will announce new service to a new
city.
Allegiant recently began
scheduling flights from 11 other cities

violence and sexual assault crimes.

A domestic relations prosecutor,

paralegal will join the team focusing
on domestic violence and sexual assault

another bizarre series of events.
Last night Owens was taken to the
hospital with what was first reported
as an attempted suicide due to an
overdose of pain killers. Owens'
publicist Kim Etheredge called 911
last night.
But around 3:30 this afternoon
T.O. emerged in Dallas - even practiced
and said it was all a big
misunderstanding.
