GRAPHIC=GOLF In sports, before there was Tiger

Woods and Jack Nickalus, there was

Byron Nelson.

He was the greatest golfer of his
time, and had what may be the greatest
year in golf... ever.

He passed away yesterday at the
age of 94

ENG#=1 VO-NAT

VO-NAT Nelson won an astonishing 18

tournaments in one season, including an
amazing 11 in a row in 19- 45.

He was clearly in his prime, but
decided to retire a year later at the
age of 34 to spend more time at his
ranch in Texas.

Nelson won 5 Major Championships
over his career including two Masters.

homecoming game this Saturday without
the services of their starting
Quarterback Jonathan Wilson.

He'll miss the contest due to a

coming off a big win last week ago
that saw their offense finally get on
track this season.

The uniqueness of the offense Jim
Reid runs in Lexington is what has the
