Florida.

Ashby was allegedly killed in a
gunbattle with police.
Authorities have NOT yet said
whether the man killed last night was

began a week ago in Eden, Georgia...
and it was caught on a surveillance
camera. Ashby is suspected of shooting
a store clerk and stealing her car.
That vehicle was found in
Augusta County -- along with a body.

description of the one owned by a
missing U-V-A student.
Authorities have yet to say if

8-thousand square foot facility.
It will have state-of-the-art
exercise equipment, a multi-purpose
room for group exercises, a child watch

individuals, businesses and several
foundations.
The YMCA is expected to be done
in January.

William Fleming High school continue to
move forward- despite a city council
member's proposal of *cutting-off*
funding to the school system.

Brian Wishneff made a motion to
cut funding to the school board until
they QUOTE - properly put William
Fleming out to bid - UNQUOTE.
The motion failed three to two,
but Wishneff and council member Sherman
Lea questioned the 57-million dollar
pricetag of the project.
The school board says both groups
have the same agenda - and that's to
make William Fleming the best school
possible.
The school board is scheduled to
vote on the design and budget of the
William Fleming project next week.

slave quarters.
At one time there were more than
200 slaves on the property and Kentland

was killed in accident on Interstate 81
south yesterday.

The fiery crash near the 140 Salem
exit.. involved four vehicles... and
shut down that part of the highway for
hours.
One car caught fire and it was
other drivers on 81 who pulled the
elderly couple out of that burning car.
The dump truck driver was also
trapped... it took rescue crews an hour
to get him out---
Police say the dump truck rear-ended
a car, starting the chain reaction
crash. He's been charged wtih reckless
driving.

presented their report on the
feasibility of an outdoor mid-sized
amphitheater in Roanoke.
