On Monday, a milk truck driver
invaded a one room schoolhouse in Amish
Country. He sent boys and adults out
and opened fire on a group of
girls....before turning the gun on
himself.

At least three children are dead
and several others are fighting for
their lives this morning.

shooting...the nation's third in less
than a week.

The dead and injured are victims of an
execution-style rampage that has

people in this conservative town in a
state of disbelief.

Police say the gunman, 32-year-old
Charles Roberts, left a rambling

suicide note and may have been
motivated by an undisclosed grudge from

20 years ago.

A neighbor saw Roberts put his three
kids on the school bus Monday

morning.

blames the shooting on a declining

morality in the secular world...a world
that Amish go to great lengths

to avoid.

right away, I think he was taught

that, he was used to seeing it. They
are taught in the public schools

its okay to lie if you can get away
with it."

Roberts, who was not Amish, worked as a
driver for a local dairy. He

was heavily armed when he stormed the
one-room schoolhouse. And just

like the gunman in Bailey, Colorado
last week....Roberts let boys and

adults go...before turning his gun on

the girls and himself.

Several young girls are in critical
condition and the Amish are asking

people of all faiths to pray for them.

a store clerk and stealing her car.

That vehicle was found in

firefighters and the hiker became the
target of Africanized honey bees.

was killed in an accident on Interstate

81 south yesterday.

One car caught fire and it was

Police say the dump truck rear-ended
a car, starting the chain reaction

Yesterday morning- members of
Economic Research Associates presented
City Council with findings from a draft
report on the possibility for an
outdoor amphitheater.

The report found the Roanoke-area
market could support a mid-sized
amphitheater.

has left a peaceful Lancaster County,
Pennsylvania community in mourning and
numerous victims fighting for their
lives.

State Police released additional
details about the shooting.

Congress passed a bill this week
that will designate 85 acres of land
for the cemetery in Pulaski County.

The land will be used as a final

shooting rampage...this time in

On Monday, a milk truck driver
invaded a one room schoolhouse in Amish
Country. He sent boys and adults out

following Monday's deadly school

shooting...the nation's third in less
than a week.

The dead and injured are victims of an

execution-style rampage that has

people in this conservative town in a
state of disbelief.

Police say the gunman, 32-year-old
Charles Roberts, left a rambling

suicide note and may have been
motivated by an undisclosed grudge from

20 years ago.

A neighbor saw Roberts put his three
kids on the school bus Monday

morning.

blames the shooting on a declining

morality in the secular world...a world
that Amish go to great lengths

to avoid.

Roberts, who was not Amish, worked as a
driver for a local dairy. He

was heavily armed when he stormed the
one-room schoolhouse. And just

like the gunman in Bailey, Colorado
last week....Roberts let boys and

adults go...before turning his gun on
the girls and himself.

Several young girls are in critical
condition and the Amish are asking

people of all faiths to pray for them.

firefighters and the hiker became the
target of Africanized honey bees.

A shooting spree at a one-room Amish
school in Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania
has left five people dead--- including

the gunman and four female students.
Seven other female students are in
critical condition. According to State
Police, the gunman 32-year old Charles
Roberts, was said to be carrying a
childhood grudge against girls.

was killed in fiery crash on
Interstate 81 yesterday near the 140
Salem exit. The accident involved four
vehicles and shut down that part of the

driving.

member proposed *cutting-off* funding
to the school system.

cut funding to the school board until

The motion failed three to two,
but Wishneff and council member Sherman

have the same agenda - and that's to
make William Fleming the best school
possible.
