GRAPHIC=Shooting The Roanoke City Police

Department will hold a press conference
this morning to discuss an officer
involved shooting that happened last
night.

Officers were called to the
38-hundred block of Stratford Park
Drive around 11:40 where they observed
a man in the parking lot being loud and
disorderly.

The suspect, who has been
identified as 22 year old Kenneth
Michael Lanham of Roanoke, repeatedly
told police that he had gun.

Lanham reportedly ignored
several orders by the officers to drop
any weapon he had and show his hands.

Police say Lanham pointed a
billfold toward the officers acting as
if he had a gun, and he lunged toward
them in a threatning manner.

The officers fired one shot and
hit Lanham in the thigh.

Officer K-C Jennings and Officer

B-S Rice have been placed on
administrative leave pending the
outcome of an administrative
investigation.

in Danville and eleven other American
plants will hit the picket lines this
afternoon.

Goodyear workers around the country,
22-hundred of them in Danville.

The two sides have been sparring

Before the clinic opened there
were no medical offices between Roanoke

Founder Jean Black says the

environment that's comfortable just

The clinic was originally a house
built in the late 18-hundreds.
