in the Lori Pleasants murder case.

Gutersloh Gutterslaw of Kings Park, New
York was arrested this afternoon.

Police say he lived in Radford
when Pleasants was killed and is
charged with first degree murder,
defiling a corpse and perjury.

June 2000 A medical examiner determined she
had been strangled.

This was a cold case for several

surprised to hear it's still a muddy
mess.

Bogle Field is where Cave Spring and
Hidden Valley High School play their
football games.

The problem is the teams use the
field too much.

And here's the result, a field that's
not in great shape.

Contrast that to the beginning of the
season. It typically looks something
like this so you can see why many
parents are uhappy with the condition

of the field.

Some feel it's even unsafe because
sections of grass have been known to
come up during football games.

students and two schools in Galax.

A student at the High School saw
a person in the gymnasium area who did
not belong in the building.

That student reported it to a
teacher and that school immediately

went into lockdown.

The Middle School is attached to
the building and also began a lockdown
drill.

Police swept the building but
didn't find anyone.

Police Chief Rick Clarke tells
News 7 he believes he knows who the
person was and he doesn't think that
person is a threat.

already begun taking steps to protect
its students.

license and sign-in.

They are then finger printed and
photographed.

The information is stored in the
barricade support system.

This technology helps
administrators monitor school
visits.....It also instantly alerts

Patrick Henry is the ONLY school
in the city with this state of the art
equipment.

teacher has handed in her resignation
and last night the school board
accepted that resignation.

This is the same teacher who has
been under investigation following an
allegation of an inappropriate
relationship with a student.

September without pay and is not being
identified because no charges have been

Randolph-Macon Woman's College students
are taking their case to court.

Last Month The school's trustees voted last
month to start admitting men in the

fall of 2007.

Today, nine students: four
freshmen, a sophomore and four juniors
filed a lawsuit, claiming
Randolph-Macon breached its contract
with them when it decided to go co-ed.

They're seeking an injunction that
would keep the school all women until
at least 2010.

Interim president Ginger Worden
said today she was "saddened" by the
lawsuit, but stands by the board's
decision.

members have condemned sales of the
drink. Mayor Bloomburg had this to
