*CG breaknow North Korea Fires Missile

We begin with breaking news from
Asia....

A South Korean news agency is
reporting that North Korea has
performed its first-ever nuclear

weapons test.

However, the South Korean
government has NOT been able to confirm
the test.

Just last week North Korean
officials said they would conduct a
nuclear test as a deterrent against a
possible U.S. invasion.

NBC Sports Junior went a lap down just past :00 the halfway point thanks to a flat left
front tire, but he would get his lap
back and be a factor.

With just 50 laps to go the
dreaded big one occurred when Casey
Mears got turned around at close to 200
miles an hour. The melee involved 10
cars including those of three Chasers,
Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick and Denny
Hamlin.

It was on again just 18 laps from
the finish as David Stremme tagged JJ
Yeley. Tony Stewart and Paul Menard
were also collected.

Junior fought all the way back
and led as the laps wound down.

But as he tried to hold off the
Hendrick cars of Jimmie Johnson and
Brian Vickers the 25 and 48 got
together and Johnson tagged Earnhardt
with half a lap to go. Vickers drove
right past them both and took the
checkered flag for his first career win
in controversial fashion.

The 13th annual Rhode Island

Championship was held today.

Look at this layout.

It includes a world
record-15-hundred pound pumpkin.

Rhode Island farmer Ron Wallace

15-hundred.

It's hard to imagine, but pumpkin
growers say they were at a disadvantage
this season due to the heavy rains
across the East coast.
