V-Dot says there are 22 possible
locations at an estimated cost of fifty
million dollars.

In our area for example, the state is
talking about extending the off ramps
to I-581.

As we found out, it's clearly needed

central Virginia area are cheering the
decision to locate a new V-A outpatient
clinic near Lynchburg.

Plans are to locate it somewhere in
the Lynchburg area and have it open by

new Health Care Reform Committee.

He wants the group of lawmakers
and doctors to come up with ways to
improve access for the uninsured and

Improving long- term care will be
one of the biggest challenges.

That's because Virginia's fastest
growing population is over 85- years-
old and there's already a shortage of
nurses and specialty doctors.

athletic logo.

feathers in response to a recent
N-C-A-A ruling that calls the logo
"hostile and abusive."

That ruling came during a study
of all college logos and nicknames with
native American ties.

Keeping the logo would have

The feathers have been used on
the logo since the 1970's.

The college WILL be allowed to

after a year on the job.

hasn't taken the typical route towards
university president, and she says the
past year has been challenging.

Kyle served as Virginia's lottery
director for 11 years.

She taught at a community college
and has an extensive background in law
and business, which she says raised
concerns among educators.

One of Kyle's first goals was to
create a strategic plan for Radford
University and that should be published

by December.

Boston College Tommorrow Night.

The Challenge for Tech became a
lot tougher with the suspension of Wide
Receiver Josh Hyman

Chesapeake, Virginia did not travel
with the team to Boston College Today
and will not play in the Game Tommorrow
Night for what the team labels a
violation of Team Policy.

Hyman has played in all 5 games
this season catching 13 passes for just
over 1-hundred yards. He does not have
Touchdown reception this year.

The loss of Hyman will be offset
somewhat with the return of Wide
Receiver Josh Morgan who was suspended
for the Hokies game against Georgia
Tech on September 30th.

found a way to deep fry everything
possible...there's something new....

You can now get deep fried
Coca-Cola....

Your probably thinking, how the
heck can they pull that off...

Well, they start by mixing funnel
cake batter with coke instead of water.
The batter is then poured into the
fryer and cooked into a mass of doughy
strands. The strands are put into a
cup, sprinkled with powered sugar and
doused with coke syrup...then topped
with whipped cream and a cherry.

The concoction will be available
at the North Carolina State Fair, which
opens this Friday.
