Board has approved a plan for
Interstate 81, that includes a package
of short- term safety improvements.

Meeting today in Roanoke, the
board directed the Virginia Department
of Transportation to take immediate
action in the I-81 corridor.

The board called for a freight
rail study with Norfolk Southern to
consider the diversion of truck
traffic.

And it addressed recent criticism
by limiting the addition of extra
lanes, and promising to incorporate the
results of the rail study into future
planning.

children is now facing DUI charges.

When the owner of a Georgia Day Care
Center pulled a van carrying a load of
children into the parking lot she got a
surprise...

Police were there responding to an
unrelated matter and she got
confrontational.

One of the officers smelled alcohol

on her breath and performed several
sobriety tests, turns out her blood
alcohol was almost double the state's
legal limit.

She's now facing DUI charges as
well as ten counts of child
endangerment.

the van closer to the dentist office
they had just visited.

Only it wasn't her 17-year-old
behind the wheel, he let his
12-year-old brother take the driver's
seat.

the office, running over and killing
his mother, who was standing near the

for the game against the Eagles.
