Monday The Republican incumbent and his

Richmond Monday night, for the final
televised debate for the November
election, which is four weeks away.

Only 30 per cent of the people
questioned said they watched the
debate, but of those who DID watch,

48 per cent said George Allen was the
winner. 38 per cent went with Webb, and

14 cent there was no clear winner.

But did it change anyone's impression
of the candidates --

37 per cent said they had a more
favorable opinion of Allen after
watching, 31 per cent less so.

Fairly similar numbers for Webb - 38
per cent more favorable, although 36
per cent thought less of him after the
debate.
