investigators are searching for clues..
anything that can explain what caused a
small plane to slam into a high-rise
building.

The crash ..caught by a coast guard
camera killed New York Yankees pitcher
Cory Lidle and his flight instructor.

"We are looking at structural and
systems issues, any issues with the
aircraft."
Investigators found the plane�s engine
and three propeller blades inside the
apartment. One blade was bent ..
another had a tip broken off.

"This is the type of information our
investigators document to try to get
sense of what was happening with the
aircraft."

INVESTIGATORS ARE ALSO REVIEWING TAPES
AND TALKING TO OTHER PILOTS WHO
MAY HAVE BEEN FLYING IN THE AREA.
That area is now temporarily under
tighter FAA regulations.. all aircraft
flying below 1500 feet must be
authorized by air traffic control.
Mayor michael Bloomberg is opposed to
flight restrictions.

"If you want to look at the numbers we
have very few numbers for an awful lot
of traffic you know every time you have
an auto accident you are not going to
close the streets or prohibit driving."
On the ground, life is returning to
normal, although residents are coping
with increased security.
Nothing new to me, but I feel bad for
the families of the two men and for the
people in that building and I'm glad
everyone got out all right."
And while two lives were lost, many are
relieved, there werenn't more
fatalities.

now been on the Goodyear line for one
week, but there's been no change in
their contract status.

Hundreds of workers lined up at
the Goodyear ballfield in Danville this
morning to pick up the last of their
regular paychecks.
The Danville workers and
thousands of others across the U-S are
striking over issues of paycuts,
retirement benefits and job protection.
Neither the union or Goodyear has
been back to the bargaining table since
negotiations came to a standstill last
week.
Goodyear says it is still meeting
customer demands by using its salaried
workers to keep the plants running.

America airlines has unveiled its first
aircraft. The Airbus A-three-twenty is
named for the legendary 1960s rock band
Jefferson Airplane, which was also from
San Francisco.

thrill to some haunted house fans in
Homer Michigan last night.

scary at the Haunted Restaurant. Along
with ghosts and goblins, what they got
was a visit with shock rocker Alice
Cooper.
It turns out the man who sang
"Welcome to My Nightmare" is a big
haunted house fan.
He showed at the old grist mill
following a show in the region.
The 58 year old singer came in for a
sit down on the big scary throne.
Despite the fact, he sings "No More
Mister Nice Guy," fans reported he was
actually quite pleasant.
