has been arrested for sexual battery
and assault.

Police say Jeffrey William Hodges
the third was arrested for assaulting
two inmates at the Roanoke County,
Salem Jail.

According to police, Hodges was

working part time as a G-E-D instructor
at the jail when the incidents
happened.

Hodges has taught kindergarten at
South Salem Elementary for the past 11
years.

Salem school officials say
they've never received any complaints
about him.

Nevertheless, the school did send
a letter home all parents explaining
the situation.

this year they are particularly bad.

Why you ask? Well, blame on it this
beautiful weather.

A lot of people called us today
saying they had hundreds if not
thousands of these lady beetles
swarming around their homes.

According to an entomologist at
Virginia Tech, these bugs become very
active after October 15th especially in
warm temperatures.

What makes them so annoying is the
lady beetles can and will enter your
home.

an Islamic web site.

The Department of Homeland
Security say terrorists are threatening
to plant so called radiological dirty
bombs in the stadiums this weekend.

Officials say they view the
threat with "strong skepticism" and

"New Attack on America Be Afraid."

responded to a fatal accident this
morning and found one of their own

members.

Grant Meadows was dead beneath the
wreckage.

State troopers say Meadows ran
off the side of the road, down a 75-
foot embankment and ended up in a
creek...upside down.

jail for an ambush shooting in Giles
County.

34 year old Timothy Wayne
Simpkins plead no contest this morning
to attempted capital murder.

Last year, Simpkins hid in the
woods on a hill and waited for his
estranged wife and her boyfriend to get
home.

Once they arrived, he opened fire
with a rifle, shooting his wife in the
hip.

identified the man killed on Brambleton
Avenue early yesterday morning.

really thought she was at risk. Plus
she wasn't even 40 yet, the recommended
age for mammogram.

That's why she was shocked to learn
she had one of the most aggressive
types, inflammatory breast cancer.

What she and other women may not
realize is that at least 80 percent of
women who get breast cancer have no
family history. And it can affect women
of any age --and there are several
different types.

THEY REALLY DIVIDE INTO TWO BASIC
CATEGORIES THOSE PRIMARILY IN THE MILK
DUCT AND THE ONES THAT FORM INTO A LUMP

Dr. James Mullet says the type of
cancer can affect how aggressive it is,
the treatment needed and the symptoms.
And every woman is different.

But there are some things to look
for: a lump or swelling, skin
irritation, nipple pain, an inverted
nipple, dimpling and discharge.

January of 2005 and since then his
foundation has handed out 8
scholarships.

reporting details of an alleged court
document filed by Mills McCartney
claiming mistreatment during their four
years of marriage.

Mills claims in court papers that
McCartney stabbed her in the arm with a
broken wine glass and choked
her.....the court papers also claim the
former Beatle used illegal drugs, drank
excessively, and made her cancel an
operation because it interfered with
his holiday plans.

Mill's spokesman says he can't
confirm whether the document is genuine
and that she's "shocked" by the
newspaper story.
