month on an aggravated sexual battery

sodomy.

Roanoke man who shot a police officer
in the foot and then barricaded himself
in his home for several hours this past
summer.

July 12 Ricky Edward Davis eventually
laid down his gun and came out
peacefully, but the stand-off created a
stir in southeast Roanoke.

A Vinton Police sergeant was shot
as he was checking Davis for weapons.

Sgt. Ben Cook said he had seen
Davis sitting in a car with a syringe
in his hand, so he approached to
investigate.

The missing baby from Kentucky has
been found safe in Illinois, along with
his mother and her boyfriend.

Monday The couple fled Monday after a
social worker brought nine month- old
Saige Terrell to visit his mother, 33-
year- old Renee Terrell, just before he
was to be put up for adoption.

The social worker was later found

year-old boyfriend Christopher
Luttrell.

The couple is now in custody.

The police chief says good police
work led to them to the suspects.

Lynchburg man his life.

VO-NAT 28 year-old Kevin Ferrell was

aboard the Ocean Challenger Wednesday
when the commercial fishing boat
capsized, sending all four crew members
overboard.

Ferrell was the only one to
survive.

The U-S Coast Guard says the

time about 60 miles from Sand Point,
Alaska.

tried to shoot his wife.

fortunate to be alive after being
involved in a deadly boating accident
off the Alaskan Pennisula.

aboard the Ocean Challenger Wednesday
when the commercial fishing boat

capsized, sending all four crew members
overboard. Ferrell was the only one to
survive.

The U-S Coast Guard says the
accident happened around 2:00 p.m.
local time about 60 miles from Sand
Point, Alaska.

The Coast Guard called
Wednesday night to notify the family
members in Lynchburg that Kevin had
been airlifted to safety.

Second Lieutenant Joshua Booth
was shot and killed by a sniper this
week near Haditha, Iraq.

Booth was born in Bedford, went
to high school in Massachussetts and
graduated from The Citadel in 2005.

Cemetery, but he didn't believe he was
worthy of it and wished to be buried in
a family plot in Bedford.
