6-year-old Radford murder case has been
extradited to Virginia.

Gutersloh Gutter-slaw arrived at the
New River Valley Jail early this
morning.

He is charged with first degree
murder in the death of 23-year-old
Radford University student Lori
Pleasants.

His attorney said Guttersloh
couldn't wait to come back to Virginia
because he plans to fight the charges.

GRAPHIC=Murder Investigation Roanoke Police have now

identified the body of a woman found

Friday morning in the Roanoke River.

VO-NAT Police say the victim is 41-year

old Karen Bethany Elkins of Roanoke.

noticed her in the middle of the water.

Police say Elkins was murdered,
but they are not saying what lead to
her death.

Her body has been taken to the
State Medical Examiner's office and
police should have more details when
those results come back.

will miss most about her favorite aunt,
Karen. She was found dead in the
Roanoke River Friday morning.

explosives- followed by a dozen mortars
- tore through a crowded outdoor market
south of Baghdad last night.

According to reports, after the
bicycles exploded, at least a dozen

mortars rained down on the busy market
place.

In central Baghdad - two IEDs
exploded injuring six civilians.

Palestinian security forces upset over
not getting paid.

They blocked Gaza Strip
intersections, burning tires and
snarling traffic to protest the
Hamas-led government's inability to pay

Palestinian President's political party
raised tensions throughout Gaza.

An activist was killed earlier
today in a gunbattle between security
branches and the rival Hamas militia.

Progress is being made in Cancun
after a costly hurricane.

VO NAT When Hurricane Wilma struck
Cancun in October 2005, many feared the
end had come for Mexico's Caribbean
haven of towering hotels and
sugar-white beaches.

But some saw the opportunity for
a new beginning.

After clearing out the debris,
hotel owners and government officials
decided to give the resort its biggest
upgrade since it was founded in 1970 on
a long sandbar that housed little more
than a coconut farm.

A year after the hurricane struck
on October 21 2005, the rebirth is 90
percent complete.

Along the resort strip, which
suffered the costliest damage, most of
the businesses - hotels, gas stations,
fast food restaurants - have reopened.

For two days last October,
Hurricane Wilma slammed into Cancun
filling hotel lobbies with shattered
metal, marble, glass and muck and
blowing away so much sea sand that
hotel beaches were reduced to thin
strips.

Tens of thousands of tourists had
to be evacuated, and looting swept the
city.

23-year-old Radford University student
Lori Pleasants.

remains from several manholes as New
York City begin a new search for
September 11th victims.
