Late-October or November is the
best time, but getting vaccinated in
December or even later can still be
beneficial since most influenza
activity occurs in January or later in
most years.

Though it varies, flu season can
last as late as May.

The Centers for Disease Control

Last year the recommendation was
for children 6-months to 2-years. This
season, vaccination is encouraged up to

The thought here is, if
physicians can help eliminate the flu

cases in adults.

A dirt-like substance near the base of

Bottom of the first, the Tigers' Craig

post-season. It's one-nothing Detroit.

As for Rogers, another great night. In
the top of the fifth, he strikes out
Scott Rolen to end the inning.

And three innings later, with one on
and one out, he gets David Eckstein to
ground into the inning-ending double
play. Eight shutout innings of two-hit
ball. It's 3-nothing going to the
ninth.

That's when the Cardinals it
interesting. With two on and two out,

One batter later with the bases loaded,
Todd Jones gets Yadier YAH-dee-air

The Tigers hang on to win game two, 3

The Centers for Disease Control
