Shaquille O'Neal WAS involved with the
incident.

The victim -- A-J Nuckols -- says
he was held by deputies at gunpoint

the mix up, but say they were acting in
good faith.

Major Ricky Gardner didn't allow
reporters to ask any questions during
the statement, but he did say O'neal
was there for the blunder.

O'neal has denied being present.

expressed interest in being on the
force after he's finished playing
basketball.

fix a faulty fire hydrant in a Roanoke
County neighborhood.

This past weekend firefighters
responded to a house fire on Toddsbury
Drive.

When they arrived, they found one
fire hydrant had lower pressure that
two others along on the street.

Today workers installed a NEW
hydrant across the street from the
faulty one.

The town of Vinton manages the
water in that part of the county and
workers did inspect the hydrant last
summer and found it had low pressure.

The town manager says it just
wasn't a high priority.

family and earlier this year, through
an unusual waiver allowed the
University to setup a trust fund for
Fahmarr, for living expenses. To date,
the fund has accumulated more than 50
thousand dollars.
