Montgomery County.
Shawsville area schools were put
on lockdown as sheriff's deputies
searched for an armed man in the
community.
Deputies eventually arrested 29
year old Douglas Larry Ashworth and
charged him with abduction and
fel-oh-nious felonious assault.
Superintendent Dr. Tiffany
Anderson says the school doors were
locked, as a precaution, while students
continued going to their classes.

mistakenly raided a Gretna man's home
last month, looking for child
pornography.
The story took another twist after the
sheriff's department reveealed that NBA

victim of a fatal plane crash in
Halifax County.

54- year -old James Michael
Williams was piloting an open cockpit
two seater on Sunday night, when the
plane went down near the community of
Elmo. He was travelling from Ridgeway
to Greensboro.
Search teams located the wreckage
yesterday morning, and federal
investigators arrived at the crash site
last night.
Authorities say Williams was
living in a hotel at the Greensboro
airport, preparing to leave the area in
a few days to begin a new job in Guam.
