the pilot killed in a plane crash
Sunday night... but state troopers
still don't know why he was flying in
our area.

Yesterday Troopers say 54-year-old
James Michael Williams was killed when
his plane crashed in Western Halifax
County.

Williams was in the process
of moving to Guam, and was apparently
living at a hotel near the Greensboro
airport.

Williams took off from a
grass strip near Ridgeway in Henry
County Sunday evening, and was headed
to Greensboro.

Investigators don't know why
he was in Henry County. They're also
still waiting on an autopsy report.

Mason- Dixon found 60 percent of

plan to build a "Supercenter" in the
Clearbrook area just south of Roanoke.

Supervisors authorized the building
after midnight, at the end of a
marathon public hearing.

of luxury car dealerships.

supercenter is exactly what that area

The developer now hopes to begin

OK last night to an electric power
sub-station near Smith mountain Lake.

The vote was 7 to nothing.

The approval also covers 24 miles of
new power lines.

Westlake, Penhook, and Blaine and serve
the eastern portion of Franklin County.

Appalachian Power says it needs

helicopters to rescue crew members on
both vessels.

All 20 Filipino crew members of
the Panamanian- registered Ellida Ace

cargo vessel, Ocean Victory.

No one was injured in either

It's scheduled for tonight, but
there's a chance that rain could mess
things up.

But it doesn't stay that way for long.

Jim Edmonds rips one down the right
field line and drives home Albert
Pujols POO-holss and Scott Rolen for a
2-to-nothing lead.

The Cards get three more before it's

Conference.

mid- major colleges.

Like most players, his goal was

chance to play sooner at Furman was the
big reason for his decision.
