JEAN READS

Last February when the Civic
Center had two major events at the same
time, it turned out to be a headache

for many people trying to park.

Some used unauthorized lots and
were towed.

Others were stuck in traffic, as
shuttle buses tried to leave the garage
while cars were trying to get into the
garage.

Still others were lefting waiting
for shuttle buses to take them to the
Civic Center.

OUT Q=workforce training. But Goode's seat on the

Appropriations Committee also helped
lead to the M-Z-M scandal, and he's
sought to defuse it by donating the
defense contractor's illegal campaign
contributions to charity.

The election, Goode says, is about
who can best represent the values of
Fifth District voters.

And as a Republican who's not
afraid to buck the party line on issues
like illegal immigration and free
trade, Goode says he is that man.

IN Q=They need GOODE: THEY NEED REPUBLICANS THAT HAVE

MY PHILOSOPHY, IN MY HUMBLE OPINION,
THOSE THAT WILL FIGHT ILLEGAL
IMMIGRATION, THOSE THAT WILL SECURE OUR
BORDERS AND THOSE THAT WANT TO TRIM
SOME OVERALL GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS LIKE
FOREIGN AID AND INCREASE FUNDING FOR
VETERANS.

Congress, his second as a Republican.

getting set to play each other for the

leads the league with 961 yards and has
combined with running mate C-J Spiller
to score 23 touchdowns, just 2 less
than the entire Tech team. And to
think, Davis nearly became a Hokie
three years ago.

BEAMER:

MACHO:

Davis is only a sophomore and Spiller a
freshman, but just about everywhere
else, the Clemson roster is dotted by
upperclassmen, including 18 seniors,
lending plenty of leadership, which has
contributed to the Tigers 7 and 1
start.

BOWDEN:

None of the current Clemson players has
ever played in Lane Stadium, but have a
good idea what to expect.
