The first call was around 6:30 at
an apartment building on Walnut Avenue.

Eight people got out safely,
but will have to find another place to
stay.

Investigators say an
electrical problem started the fire and
caused about 20-thousand dollars in
damage.

About an hour and a half
later, a house on Highland Avenue,
Southeast caught fire.

The sole resident was not
home at the time, but his dog was
killed.

Investigators are still
trying to find the cause of that fire.

Mandatory evacuations are under way.

However, crews say horses running
loose on the freeway are making those

Authorities say the brush fire's

McElrathbey, a redshirt freshman, also
has custody of his 11 year old brother
Fahmarr, and is his sibling's primary
caretaker. That's because their mother
is a recovering crack addict and their

father has a gambling problem.

The two live together in an apartment
and get rides to their schools everyday
from various friends. They are then
reunited each afternoon on the Clemson
practice field.

RAY RAY:

McElrathbey's role with the Tigers has
been primarily on special teams, but
he's been a special ray of hope for his
family and earlier this year, through
an unusual waiver allowed the
University to setup a trust fund for
Fahmarr, for living expenses. To date,
the fund has accumulated more than 50
thousand dollars.

night postponed game four of the World

That means game five has been pushed
back to tomorrow night, which was
supposed to be the Tigers' and

This month marks the milestone for
"The Wave," the cheer that has fans
standing up and throwing their hands in
the air.

"Krazy" George Henderson believe he's
responsible for debuting the Wave
during an Oakland Athletics' playoff

game against the New York Yankees, on
October 15th, 19- 81.

Football fans at the University of
Washington did The Wave two weeks
later.

Since then, the cheer has spread to
sporting venues worldwide..
