man who assaulted a student at Woodrow
Wilson Middle School last Spring.

pull 30 days in jail on weekends.

May 1 We got to see surveillance video
of the incident in court today.

The tape shows two students
carrying cafeteria trays, exchanging
words with Dehart as he re-enters the
school.

Dehart had just come from the
office where he was told his son no
longer attended Woodrow Wilson.

Dehart approaches Terrell Wilson
and knocks the tray out of his hands.

Dehart's "ego and temper got the
best of him," his attorney said.

Judge Joe Clarke ordered Dehart
to serve 30-days in jail on weekends,
starting a week from Friday.

Dehart may also have to pay the
teenager's hospital bill.

A hearing on restitution was set
January 9th.

how one suspect gets into the passenger

an old model grey mini van.

Police say 21 year old Crush
followed the van into the Windward
condos off Ogden Road.. and that's when
the suspects fired shots.. hitting
Crush's car twice.

The charges against a Roanoke man
accused in a May shooting have been
dropped.

Rob-erson Roberson was charged with
firing the shot that killed 22-year-old
T.J. Thompson.

Police say during the early
morning hours of May 20th - gunfire
broke out at an unlicensed, after-hours
club on Melrose Avenue.

Thompson was killed and
seven-other people were shot, including
Roberson.

Roberson turned himself in just days
after the Melrose shooting. He was
arrested after statements given by
Robert Thompson- the victim's brother.
Thompson- shown in this video- talked
to News7 after his brother, TJ was
killed.



Now Caldwell says the statements
Thompson made to police weren't all

Goodyear plant in Danville.

The steelworkers union there has

been on strike since October 5th in a
dispute over job and benefits
protection.

The company placed a newspaper ad
for temporary workers-- picketers say
about twenty cars came into the plant
this morning.

They were greeted with shouts of
"scab!" from the union workers on the
picket line.

Danville police were on hand and
there were no reports of any problems.

Goodyear also announced today
plans to close its plant in Tyler,
Texas.

morning in Rockbridge County.

Valley area.

Firefighters got the call
around 3:45, but the Glasgow fire chief
say there was little they could do to
save the two people inside.

They've been identified as
