carbon monoxide leak at the Sections

OQ=many different ways Shortly after the first incident, the

college installed carbon monoxide
detectors in most of its buildings.
The president also set up a task force
to come up with long term plans.

The recommendations are in and they
include more detectors, and weekly

inspections of all mechanical rooms.

The task force also recommends the
purchase of handheld carbon monoxide
detectors.

The college already has and the
detectors were put to good use during a

The Morgan Quitno report ranked
Roanoke as one of the "least safest

In a press release, the
department says "some crime rates were
higher" in 2005 than 2004, but violent
crimes were down.

The department also disagrees
with the research because Morgan Quitno
only uses the numbers of reported
crimes and not actual crimes.

File Tape Walton was scheduled to die in
June for the 19- 96 killing of three
people in Danville.

About an hour before the
execution, Governor Kaine delayed the
sentence until December eighth, to
allow Walton's mental capacity to be
evaluated.

Walton's attorneys argue he
suffers from schizophrenia.
