Frank Cassell faces indictments, along
with a dozen of his deputies.

and drugs from the evidence room and
re-selling them in the Henry County
community.
The case broke last year when the
D-E-A intercepted a drug shipment to an
address in Martinsville.
The resident, a 35-year old
Bassett Furniture company worker, said
his landlord paid him to use the house
as a drug drop.
The man's landlord was a
sheriff's deputy.
When Sergeant James Vaught got
busted, he agreed to cooperate with
federal agents.

dead.

Knoxville, Tennessee yesterday to
interview a local murder suspect.

Galax, is charged with first degree
murder in the shooting death of a
security guard on Halloween night.

body of 75-year old Neal Jackson
Hutton.
Authorities say he was stabbed to
