ABC Sports It was a defensive struggle
:00 early, but Jesse Allen hauled in this
pass from Sean Glennon and turned it
into a nice gain deep into Miami
territory.

That setup a Brandon Pace field
goal and the Hokies were on the board
at 3-nothing.

The Tech defense was making
plays. Brandon Flowers steps up and
picks off Kyle Wright in the flat. And
that would put the Tech offense in
business again.

Branden Ore cashed in
from there on the short TD run and Tech
led 10-zip at the break.
*CG final Virginia Tech #23 The Canes tied things up but the

17 defense got to Wright for another pick Miami before Ore scored the game winner late. 10 Tech held on for a 17-10 win and is
now 7 and 2.

Lincoln Financial Sports-Raycom There weren't many bright spots :00 for the Hoos in this one. Jameel
Sewell gets picked early and Tony
Carter takes it to the house for 6 to
get the FSU ball rolling.

Special teams were equally bad
for UVA as Al Groh's team gives up the
punt block to setup another Noles
touchdown.

Lorenzo Booker does the honors
up and over the top and it was
14-nothing.

In the second half, Sewell was
sacked in the endzone for a safety, *CG final Virginia and Xavier Lee tacked on a touchdown 0 pass as Florida State won it 33 to Florida State nothing. The Cavs had just 146 yards 33 of total offense in the loss which
dropped UVA to 3 and 6 on the season.

Wasps vs. Generals Wilson Field was packed to the :00 gills today for the biggest game in
recent memory.

The Generals got on the board
first when R-J Warner handed to Colton
Ward who finds the endzone from 13
yards out, straight up the gut for 6.
The PAT made it 7-nothing.

To the third quarter now,
Washington & Lee's Warner gives it to
Stuart Sitterson who flips it to Ward
on the reverse. Ward scampers 14 yards
to the one yard line to setup a
Generals field goal and it was 10-zip.

The Generals 'd' did its part.
Radford product Todd Woods is picked
off by Kyle Harvey, and Harvey smells a
touchdown. He zigs and zags behind

some solid blocking 48 yards for the
score. Washington & Lee led
17-nothing.

Emory spoiled the shutout as
Woods airs one out 27 yards to Brennan
Stewart to make it 17 to 6.

The Generals sealed the win as
Warner rolled to his right and found
Jack Martin *CG final Emory & Henry on the 20. Martin did the rest taking 6 it in and Washington & Lee won it 24 to Washington & Lee 6, to the delight of Frank Miriello. 24

Peak into the life of "Black
Peter."

He's a rare Australian black swan
in Germany who has taken a fancy to a
plastic pedalboat...which obviously,
looks like a swan.

He's been following his six-foot
friend since the Springtime.

The owner of the boat agreed to
move it-- together with Black Peter--
to the nearby Munster zoo for the
winter months, because the swan didn't
fly south.

The zookeeper there says she's not
at all surprised by Black Peter's
penchant for a plastic swan.

She's says these things just
happen sometimes in the animal world.
