Several emergency workers have
responded to an accident tonight in
Bedford County-- on Waterlick Road,
which is near Greentree Drive.
It's believed to be a head on
collision.
It happened around 8:30 tonight.
Two people were trapped inside of
a van, and at least two helicopters
flew to the scene.
One official at the scene says
five people were injured.
We have a crew there and we'll
bring you more information as it
becomes avaliable.

claimed the life of a Moneta man
earlier tonight.
This accident happened in the
75-hundred block of Franklin Road.
Police say Trevin Millirons was
driving a Ford Pick up truck. He ran of
the road, hit an embankment, then hit a
power pole.
Millirons later died at the
hospital.
Police say he was not wearing a
seatbelt.

State police confirm three boys and
an adult-- returning home from a
camping trip-- were killed this
afternoon in a highway accident.

One passenger, the driver's son,
was able to get out of the car alive

who broke out of the Henry County Jail
almost 24 hours ago.

This man, William Marshall Coe
Jr. escaped one minute after midnight
on Sunday.
The Sherriff's Department says he
did it by impersonating another inmate
who was scheduled to be released.
Coe is a white male,
28-years-old, about 5'9 and weighs 210
pounds.
He has multiple tattoos on his
arms, legs and torso.

GRAPHIC=Fatal Fire For the second time this weekend
a house fire has turned deadly.

The latest incident happened last
night on Halifax Road in Danville.
By the the time emergency crews
arrived at the home there was nothing
to save.
Eventually they discovered the
body of 57-year-old Herbert Bowie
inside.
Bowie's body will be sent to
Roanoke on Monday for an autopsy.
Authorities have not specified
the cause of this fire.

County today arrived to services to
find their church burned to the ground.

wood stove this morning.
Three companies of firefighters
were too late to save any part of the
all-wooden structure.

when a self-proclaimed gay prostitute
told a colorado radio station haggard
paid him for sex and drugs. Haggard
admits many of the allegations are
true. Churchgoers say the revelation is
shocking.

thousands gathered to remember the five
firefighters who died last week in the
Esperanza wildfire.

was among the speakers as family and
friends and fellow firefighters
gathered.
The five who died-all from Engine
Company 57 were overtaken by flames as
they were protecting a house from
burning...one initial survivor, died in
the hospital.
The fire was deliberately
started.
On Thursday, police arrested
36-year-old Raymond Oyler and charged
him with murder and 11 counts of arson.
At the end of today's
memorial-the sound of bagpipes could be
heard along with a flyover of air
tankers, and a helicopter, in tribute.
